Monster Island, the Asylum's 2019 mockbuster, was released around the same time as Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about an island where a monster lives, with the same name of the island.


Because of its low budget (about equivalent to a large children's meal), the filmmakers of this asylum film wisely choose to concentrate on only a handful of people, and to shoot all of (posted here) the major moments involving the cast's A-listers during their lunch break. The Asylum may not do so badly considering that it is a kaiju movie.
